Average Score 93.21

The 2015 Feytit-Clinet is a wine of dark, brooding intensity. Vertical in its construction, the 2015 exudes power and structure. My sense is that the 2015 is recovering from its relatively recent bottling, as it is a bit closed down today. Even so, the depth and richness the 2015 showed as a barrel sample are still very much in evidence. Black cherry, plum, graphite, smoke, heavy toast and lavender add myriad shades of nuance. In two separate tastings, the 2015 was much less expressive than it was as a barrel sample, which probably bodes very well for its long term future. I wouldn't dream of opening a bottle anytime soon. Tasted two times.
Lovely, textured, restrained Pomerol from a château that deserves a bigger reputation. Coffee bean and mocha aromas add a sheen to the structured, yet voluptuous fruit flavours with acidity and minerality for balance. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2022-2032
The 2015 Feytit Clinet is composed of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc and aged for 15 months in 70% new and 30% one-year-old French oak barrels. Deep garnet-purple in color, it has a lovely nose of creme de cassis, preserved plums and wild blueberries with touches of baking spices and dark chocolate plus a waft of roses. The medium to full-bodied palate is opulent with firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long. Feb 2018, www.robertparker.com
The 2015 Château Feytit-Clinet has a perfumed and floral bouquet, wilted violets filtering through the dark cherry and cassis fruit, gaining more complexity as it opens in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin that are cloaked in layers of lightly toasted dark berry fruit, the new oak a little obvious at the moment, yet there is more than sufficient fruit to subsume all that with 6-8 years in bottle. Jeremy Chasseuil has created another exemplary Pomerol from this estate that continues to threaten to break into the big league. This is absolutely delicious and it deserves the great recognition that this wine currently attracts. Apr 2016, www.eRobertParker.com, Drink: 2023-2050
Fabulous depth of fruit here with blackberry, blueberry, mineral and dried meat character. Full body, chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Mar 2016, JamesSuckling.com
Bright and fragrant, with fine texture and tannins. Builds on the palate to provide length. Fresh and persistent, showing elegant weight and style. Apr 2016, James Lawther MW, www.Decanter.com, Drink: 2021-2033
Very rich, almost brûlée, on the nose. Thick and creamy in texture. Lots of reward. Quite forward. Great for restaurants? Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2019-2032
