Critic Notes
Lynch’s second wine, which accounted for 35% of total production, saw no new oak in 2015. It’s quite a forward wine, with red and black fruits, nice texture and supple tannins. A claret that will provide plenty of pleasure in its youth. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2019-2024

A silky and firm wine with pretty fruit and spice character. Full and fine. Second wine of Lynch and makes the grade. Mar 2016, www.JamesSuckling.com

The 2015 Echo de Lynch Bages is a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Merlot, matured in one-year-old barrels. It has a fragrant, finely tuned bouquet of blackberry, pencil lead and a touch of citrus fruit - scents that gently unfold in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin, the acidity well judged, gentle in the mouth, but building in fruit intensity to a pleasurable graphite-tinged finish. One of those deuxième vins where more is less. This is a well-crafted Echo...echo...echo... Apr 2016, www.eRobertParker.com, Drink: 2019-2032

66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot. Dark bright crimson. Scented and light weight but lively and very fresh. Just a bit dry and demanding. Very much a second wine… Pretty classic Pauillac - but no attempt at flattery. 13.3%. Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2023-2033

Lively, with a fresh savory edge to the mix of red currant, blood orange and cherry notes, backed by a smooth, relatively open finish. Mar 2016, James Molesworth, www.WineSpectator.com

The 2015 Echo de Lynch Bages is forward, succulent and quite expressive. A wine that will drink well early, the 2015 captures all of the radiance of the vintage, with good freshness and an appealing, mid-weight personality. The Echo is a quintessential 2015 endowed with lovely depth and tons of near-term appeal. Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Echo de Lynch Bages has plenty of black fruits on the nose with an earthy undercurrent. The medium-bodied palate is firm and a bit hard with an herbal lift on the finish. Feb 2018, www.robertparker.com
