More richness than expected, beautifully extracted, elegant and polished, it shows Lafite stable Pauillac elegance. Drink 2017-2030.
This shows lots of sweet tobacco and blueberry character. Full and silky with fine tannins. Keeps fresh. Long. Well done. James Suckling,
75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot make up the blend. With a perfume of black cherry, smoke and lead pencil, the wine offers ample, fresh, chewy Cabernet flavors with freshness and cassis. 91-93 Pts-Jeff Leve,
75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot. Inky with black core. Sweeter smelling than the Carruades. Light oak spice. Then cedary and so silky on the palate. Just glides though there's plenty of tannin there. Creamy long finish. Julia Harding MW,
This is a svelte Duhart-Milon, quite different in size and dimension compared to the previous years. The aromas are attractive with spicy and floral notes as well as fresh black berries. Duhaurt Milon in this vintage displays great linearity with lovely aromatics. The tannins are well handled and the length is fairly long. Jeannie Cho Lee MW, Asian
Tart acids give this dark ruby/purple-tinged wine a crunchy, fresh, lively feel on the palate. Composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, this medium-bodied 2011 reveals loads of finesse and purity, but is slightly superficial compared to recent vintages such as 2009 and 2010. It should drink well for 10-15 years. Wine Advocate.April, 2012
The 2011 Duhart Milon is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot and offers a typically foursquare bouquet with blackberry, wild hedgerow and pencil lead. It does not have the aromatic penetration displayed by the 2010 last year. The palate is medium-bodied and demands time to unwind, displaying broody dark berries and a touch of sous-bois and black olive. There is a Graves-like tincture towards the finish. This is a sedate, medium-term Duhart. Tasted April 2012. Neal Martin,
A very black nose (sloes and black olive). The palate has impressive concentration of juicy fruit and fine, dry tannin. A small step up from stablemate Carruades.
