The Au Champ de la Fenêtre, 100% Merlot, is dark, plush and inviting. Dark red cherry, plum, violet, spice and menthol shape this pliant yet nuanced Montagne Saint-Émilion. Veins of bright acidity give the wine lift on the finish. The 2016 was whole-berry-fermented, underwent malolactic fermentation in barrel and will see about 40% new oak. Apr 2017, www.vinous.com

Champagne Agrapart – Pioneer of Terroir Expression
