Green-tinged gold. Deep, smoky, exotic bouquet of poached pear, yellow plum, nectarine, lees and cured meat. Lush and creamy, with intensely smoky orchard fruit flavors and a sweet/spicy cinnamon toast quality. Deep, chewy and expansive on the finish, where the cinnamon and toasty lees flavors echo with noteworthy persistence. Complex enough to enjoy now but has the depth and balance to repay aging. Nov 2007, www.vinous.com

Dom Pérignon’s 1993 Oenothèque was a very pretty, slender wine with attractive notes of smoke, yeast and roasted nuts. Nov 2007, www.vinous.com
Score: 92 / 100 Antonio Galloni, Vinous
That just goes to show. Yet another vintage in which the version that was disgorged late clearly outshines the normal issue. As clear as a bell and super elegant in magnum. Filled with mineral, Granny Smith apples and lightly toasted flavours. A trifle light, but very beautiful and most delightful with beluga. Jun 2007, www.champagneclub.com
Score: 92 / 100 Richard Juhlin
