Super, pineapple-like nose, wonderful texture, perfect balance, very long, so pure and true to great Barsac type, with the salty element that's so nice for appetitive consumption. Drink 2016-2040. (18.5 points) Michel Bettane,
A subtle nose has hints of ripe apricot and sweet cereal. These flavours really hit home at the front of the palate which added white peach. they do however last for a long time with really balanced acidity making the weight of this wine just right, like drinking velvet
The 2010 Doisy-Daene, with its aromas of honeysuckle, sweet white blossoms and marmalade, delivers a vibrant, aromatic wine with wonderful freshness, great depth of flavour, and a honeyed sweetness that is far from cloying. Recommended. Jeannie Cho Lee MW
This has power in reserve, but relies more on its acidity, with juicy tangerine, clementine, pear and mango notes laced with a hint of green almond. The finish is long, pure and fresh. —J.M. James Molesworth,
Denis Dubourdieu’s Barsac cru has an attractive bouquet with subtle notes of cooking apple, pear and lime-flower, all with very fine delineation. The palate displays good weight and a fine thread of acidity, lending tension and poise that leads to a taut finish, showing good botrytis levels for the vintage. With its trademark minerality in place, this Doisy-Daene comes highly recommended. Neal Martin, Wine Advocate May 2011
Very pale greenish gold. Very tense. Still embryonic at the moment. In fact the acidity is rather dominant. Really gripped in there for future development. RS 139 g/l, TA 4.05 g/l. 13.7%
The Doisy-Daene 2010 has a rather direct, crisp bouquet, with notes of quince, dried honey and beeswax. There is a sense of steeliness to these aromatics. The palate is ripe and sweet on the entry, with racy lines of acidity and a judicious touch of spice. In a line-up of Sauternes, it lacks the flamboyance and sensuality of the appellation’s more sugar-laden offerings, but it has a class that cannot be denied. Drink now-2035. Apr 2014,
