Another minerally and rich red with lots of blackberry, blueberry and chocolate character. Full body, chewy tannins. Superb. 78% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec and 1% Carmenere. Apr 2016,
The 2015 de Pressac is fabulous. Rich, powerful and explosive, the 2015 possesses remarkable depth and creaminess all the way through to the finish. Red cherry jam, mocha, raspberry, espresso and spices open up in the glass, but it is the wine's overall balance that is most impressive of all. The blend is 65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec and 5% Carmenère. This is a jewel of a wine. Readers should expect an intense, exuberant Saint-Émilion. Tasted three times. Apr 2016,
Modern, confected cassis fruit with an almost Californian sheen. Savoury on the finish. Light spice and genteel structure. Generous, ripe, finely balanced. Nicely done. (RH) Apr 2016,, Drink: 2018-2028
All five red Bordeaux varieties in the blend. Dark fruit and spice on the nose. Palate is opulent and fruit driven. Note of damson and dark cherry then freshness and length on the finish. Consistent value. Apr 2016, James Lawther MW,, Drink: 2020-2032
