The 2015 Myrat was tasted as a blend and from barrel at the estate with proprietor Xavier de Pontac. It has an elegant bouquet with scents of white flowers infusing the lightly honeyed fruit. The palate is very well balanced, very pure and refined, gently building to a really quite gorgeous, tensile finish that feels long and very sophisticated. This is one of the best that I have tasted from Château de Myrat and comes highly recommended. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2019-2045
A dense and oily young Sauternes showing power and depth. Full and very sweet with dried apricot and spices in the aftertaste. Mar 2016,
Intense, honeyed nose of tropical fruit, mint and aromatic oak. Fresh and dense palate with lovely balance to the ripe citrus and honeyed vanilla flavours. An excellent young Myrat that will be accessible early. Apr 2016, Ian D'Agata,, Drink: 2018-2026
This is enticing, with mirabelle plum and pear notes, lined with a hint of citrus oil and picking up light honey and peach accents on the finish. Shows a little less freshness than the top Barsacs, but reveals lovely flavors nonetheless. Mar 2016, James Molesworth,
Greenish gold. Full bodied and with some botrytis evident. Thick and dense and pretty impressive, even if quite open. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2022-2034
Tasting note coming soon. Apr 2016,
