Tasted at the de Myrat vertical at the property. The 2012 Chateau de Myrat has a simple, rather waxy bouquet with acacia and dried pineapple scents that just feel constrained by the vintage. The palate is crisp and candied on the entry, something almost confection-like about this de Myrat. It is not complex, but it is clean and nicely balanced, a pretty Sauternes to drink over the next 6-8 years—one to enjoy in its flush of youth instead of stashing away. Tasted April 2016.
