Deep gold. Very rich and savoury on the nose. Heavy and round and very sweet on the palate. This is very typical of the vintage with a strong fresh citrus-peel streak even if it not a particularly rich Sauternes. Not especially long. RS 145 g/l, RS 3.7 g/l. 13.7%
A rich unctuous Barsac with a spicy mid palate, wonderful intensity and a fairly long length. The mid palate has generous flavours and the attractive candied orange peel flavours lingers in the finish. This wine will evolve beautifully. enjoy after about 5 years in bottle. Jeannie Cho Lee MW
The Chateau de Myrat 2010 has a lifted bouquet with touches of algae dappling the botrytized fruit, lending it a Barsac-like character. The palate is medium-bodied with a waxy textured opening. There is moderate acidity and a gentle build in the mouth toward a custard-cream finish that needs to muster more tension to merit long-term cellaring. This is a decent Sauternes 2010 that needs more personality. Drink now-2026., 2014
Nose seems off balance with a hint of honeyed apricots overwhelmed by the domineering alcohol. Although this is still a fresh wine, aided by a lovely citrus tea element on the palate, it is a just a touch too heavy and only has medium length
