Average Score 92.25

One of the best wines I’ve tasted from de Malle, this is an impressive follow up to the 2014. Perfumed, elegant and deftly oaked, with subtle candlewax, tarte tatin and orange zest flavours and a complex, tapering finish with evident minerality. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2018-2028
A dense and very energetic Sauternes with almond, dried lemon and honey character. Full and fruity. Clean finish. Mar 2016,
The 2015 Château de Malle has a well-defined, lightly honeyed bouquet that is initially reserved, but seems to open and become more floral with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, a little spice here mixed with orange peel and apricot, leading to a nicely composed, subtle finish that should blossom once in bottle. There is an appealing nascent energy here that should see this drinking beautifully once in bottle. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2018-2038
Greenish gold. Definite energy here on the nose. Race and ripeness. Not one of the most concentrated but the balance is excellent. A very good de Malle. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2024-2040
This is fun, with enticing pineapple, quince, mango and peach flavors imparting a frankly tropical feel, while singed almond and ginger hints keep the finish focused enough. Mar 2016, James Molesworth,
Perfumed floral nuances enliven richer orchard fruit and mineral aromas and flavours. Bright, lively and fresh in the mouth, with spicy orange marmalade and a hint of bitterness on the long, lifted finish. For me, one of the more concentrated young De Malle’s in years. Apr 2016, Ian D'Agata,, Drink: 2019-2028
