The de Fieuzal ’10 has a very generous, open-knit, refined and delineated bouquet that really is a treat: so pure and feminine. The palate is displays fine tannins, bright red-berried fruit with good acidity, almost Saint Emilion like towards the fleshy, silky finish. Lovely. Drink 2013-2020+ Tasted April 2011. Neal Martin
The deep ruby purple 2010 Chateau de Fieuzal offers up a very attractive and complex aroma profile of cassis, cocoa, plums and cedar, echoed in the layers of flavours that linger for a long time on the rich, textured palate. This is an unusually classy and impressive Fieuzal, which will last for decades.
Lustrous purple. Great polish and energy. Really very glorious. Here they have not been scared by the acidity and the balance seems about right. Very fresh and Gravesy.
Sappy and intense, with kirsch and crushed raspberry fruit aromas and flavors and superfresh acidity driving underneath. Features lots of spice and violet notes on the finish.James Molesworth,
Very liqueur fruit nose especially cherry liqueur which continues onto the silky palate. fine quality here.
This is very layered, with currants and berries and minerals. Flowers. Full and silky, with a long finish. It’s very well-integrated.
de Fieuzal Produced with assistance of Hubert de Bouard of Angelus, who consults with the property, the opens with oak, cassis, smoke and spicy scents. Supple on the palate, the wine ends with a sweet, licorice and blackberry filled finish.
A more tannic, backward style of Pessac-Leognan, this wine has attractive, elegant notes of sweet plum, fig, tobacco leaf and red and black currants. It is medium-bodied, elegant, rich and persistent on the palate. The tannins are still relatively elevated and the wine in need of 4-6 years of cellaring. It should keep for at least two decades or more. Wine Advocate.February, 2013
Well-concentrated slightly smoky blackcurrant fruit, rich and broad flavours, a big fleshy wine with controlled power. Drink 2015-25. Steven Spurrier,
