Average Score 86.0

Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 D’Agassac looked promising from barrel but I am unconvinced that the barrel maturation has benefited the wine. It felt a little over-ripe on the nose with just a touch of VA affecting the plush black fruit. The palate is very ripe and fleshy but lacks backbone and feels muddled toward the sweet finish. This feels like a slipped catch in a good vintage and it is a wine that I would like to re-taste. Tasted September 2017. Oct 2017, www.robertparker.com
