Rich, deep crimson. Sweet black cherry and sweet char. Surprisingly dry on the palate after the richness of the nose. Powdery but dense tannins. Nice freshness. Lots of energy even with the rather dry tannins. Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com
Jancis Robinson MW Score: 16.5/20
Another very good effort from Croizet-Bages, the 2011 reveals juicy red and black currant fruit, medium body, and good elegance and purity. It is not a big, muscular style of Pauillac, but one of finesse. It can be consumed now and over the next decade. Wine Advocate.April, 2014
Robert Parker Score: 87/100
Tasted at Chateau Rauzan-Gassies. The 2011 Croizet Bages, a blend of 71% Cabernet Sauvignon and 29% Merlot, is very reticent on the nose and needs more fruit expression a la 2009 and 2010. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, more freshness than the nose suggests, with an easy-drinking but harmonious red berry and cedar-tinged finish. If the aromatics can muster more intent, then this will turn out to be a satisfying 2011 Pauillac. Tasted June 2015. Mar 2017, www.robertparker.com
Neal Martin Score: 86/100
