Sweet nose and a strong green streak. Lots of life and vivacity. Solid and well balanced. A good effort. Dry and with lots of green acidity but no extraneous elements. Impressive length. Apr 2017, www.jancisrobinson.com, Drink: 2019-2024
The Couhins 2016 Blanc gives up lime zest, orange blossom and grapefruit notes with wafts of crushed rocks and wild thyme. Medium-bodied, tightly wound and very refreshing, it delivers wonderful intensity and purity with a long steely finish. Nov 2018, www.robertparker.com
Lots of sliced-green-apple, pear and lemon character. Medium to full body. Layered and fresh. Like it. Apr 17, www.jamessuckling.com
This is a lovely white wine with bright, nicely delivered fragrant citrus fruit. A clear success in the vintage although the mid-palate slows things down a little. Apr 2017, www.decanter.com, Drink: 2027-2050
The Chateau Couhins 2016 Blanc has a perfumed white peach and nectarine scented bouquet that is very pretty. The palate is quite sweet on the entry with candied orange peel, apricot and light peachy aromas. It might lack tension on the finish, but I appreciate the balance here. It will be drinking as soon as it is bottled. Apr 17, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2018-2024 Apr 2017, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2018-2024
