1994 Cote Rotie La Chatillonne Cote Blonde

The 1994 Cote Rotie La Chatillonne displays some dry tannin in the finish, which kept my score below the outstanding category, but I loved the wine's deep ruby color, and sweet black raspberry nose intermixed with scents of violets, grilled nuts, smoke, and toast. It is an excellent rich, medium to full-bodied Cote Rotie that will drink well for a decade. Importer: William Deutsch & Co., White Plains, NY; tel. (914) 251-WINE Feb 1999, www.robertparker.com
