Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. Among several red Cortons tasted blind, Prieur’s Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru ‘11 has one of the most sophisticated and cerebral aromatics. It is well defined with blackberry, raspberry, mineral, black tea and marine influences that hold your attention. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe and supple tannins, nicely judged acidity and a harmonious, silky, almost Vosne-like finish that lingers in the mouth. This constitutes one of the finest offerings from Jacques Prieur this year. Nov 2014, www.robertparker.com
