Critic Notes
This wine follows in the style of most Corbin-Michottes, even though the vintage had a tendency to produce tannic, hard wines. However, Corbin-Michotte seems to always aim for ripeness, and a seductive, forward fruity style with no hard edges. The dark ruby-colored 1996 is round and soft, with plenty of herb-tinged berry fruit intermixed with smoke and earth. Ripe and medium-bodied, it is ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years.|| Wine Advocate.April, 1999
Score: 86-/100 Robert Parker
