There are only 3 barrels, almost 75 cases, of the magnificent 2003 Clos Vougeot Vieilles Vignes. Its boisterous aromatics reveal licorice, plums, cherries, and blackberries. Sumptuous, fleshy, and concentrated, it is a glorious, stupendously sweet wine. Medium to full-bodied, satin-textured, and sappy, this wine is so exquisitely ripe, its tannin, discernable in its hugely impressive finish, is plump and almost viscous. Drink this gem over the next 15+ years. Aug 2005, www.robertparker.com
