Intense, this features notes of peach, pear, apricot, quince and mango, layering them deftly while the creamy finish picks up light ginger and almond accents. A big wine. Mar 2016, James Molesworth, www.WineSpectator.com
Candied orange peel, crème brulée, vanillin, pineapple and apricot jam meld together in the 2015 Clos Haut-Peyraguey. Deep, rich and unctuous - but with all of the finesse of the vintage - the Clos Haut-Peyraguey exudes depth, texture and pure class. The blend is 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon fermented in French oak barrels. Tasted two times. Apr 2016, www.Vinous.com
A lively and bright Sauternes with dried peach and apple aromas and flavors. Full body, medium sweet with botrytis spice and character at the finish. Mar 2016, www.JamesSuckling.com
Sweet spices, tropical fruit nectar and spicy clover honey on the nose and rich palate. Finishes very long and thick, with a tactile quality and lingering citrus appeal. A knockout Sauternes in the making. Apr 2016, Ian D'Agata, www.Decanter.com, Drink: 2020-2030
The 2015 Clos Haut Peyraguey is a blend of 95% Semillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc, cropped at just 14 hectoliters per hectare between September 7 and October 15. It has a perfumed and quite floral bouquet with dried yellow flowers intermixed with dried honey and quince aromas. The palate is very well balanced with pure botrytised fruit, not the most complex Sauternes of the vintage, but tensile with a citrus-fresh, blood orange-tinged finish. Enjoy this over the next 5-25 years. Apr 2016, www.robertparker.com
Broad, mild and creamy on the nose. Almost like a milkshake! Lots to like about this wine. Already with obvious appeal and cohesion. Lots to chew on at the end. Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2024-2040
This is at the plusher, more concentrated end of the spectrum in 2015, a wine made to last, with the oak to prove it. Exotic, decadent and spicy, this has lots of tropical fruit power underpinned by acidity. Needs more time in barrel and bottle. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2019-2030
