Critic Notes

Dark crimson. Intense nose combines opulence and precision. Mouth-filling and broad in scope. Very fresh. Lovely combination of appellation and vintage characters. Super-clean and brisk. Bravissimo! Apr 2016, www.JancisRobinson.com, Drink: 2022-2032

The 2015 Clos Floridene offers up luscious redcurrant, wild strawberry and floral scents on the nose, almost Burgundy-like in terms of purity. The palate is well balanced with fine but firm tannin, a little pinched at the moment, but by the time of bottling it will have undone its top-shirt button. Plenty of energy here, a Graves with a nod to Volnay, bound to offer 8-10 years of pleasure. Apr 2016, www.robertparker.com

A sleek wine, with tangy currant fruit, fresh spice and moderate toast. A mineral accent gilds the finish. Mar 2016, James Molesworth, www.WineSpectator.com

At entry level, they offer tremendous consistency at a ...

Clos Vougeot 2013
Thursday 28th October saw our annual  Clos Vougeot tastings. Wine journalists gathered at Lower Thames Street to take part in one of the highlights of our calendar: 33 wines from 32 domains, one vineyard and one vintage, all tasted blind. We are rather proud of our Clos Vougeot tasting at FINE+RARE. While blind tastings are hardly uncommon, the chance to ...

Champagne Philipponnat - Clos des Goisses

As direct importers of Clos des Goisses from Philipponnat, we wanted to gain a real understanding of what makes this vineyard so special. From its location and aspect, to the particular élevage techniques ...
