Average Score 90.8

This is very solid and structured with powerful ripe tannins and plenty of fruit. Full and intense. Muscular style. Mar 2016,
The 2015 Clos Dubreuil is a blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in 100% new French oak over the next 20 months. It has a delightful bouquet of hoisin and redcurrant, beautifully defined with an attractive marine influence coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with steely tannin, very focused with a brisk and vibrant finish that seems more precise than previous vintages, with a dash of white pepper on the aftertaste. This is serious Saint Emilion that is for long-term ageing. Bon vin! Apr 2016,, Drink: 2021-2040
The 2015 Clos Dubreuil is dark, powerful and heavily extracted, with prominent torrefaction notes that dominate and big, youthfully searing tannins. Dark red cherry, mocha, sweet spices and licorice shape the opulent, racy finish. The 2015 is bold, racy and very much full-throttle in style to the point of being on the edge of being over the top. It will be interesting to see where the 2015 ends up. Apr 2016,
Modern and punchy rich, dark fruit. Huge depth with an impressive tannic frame. Powerful style, with the limestone terroir evident. Apr 2016, James Lawther MW,, Drink: 2022-2030
Almost overripe on the nose. Very thick and sweet. Overdone. Not enough freshness. Apr 2016,, Drink: 2022-2029
