1962 Clos de Tart

The 1962 Clos de Tart is deep, slightly turbid in color. The nose is rustic with blackberry, chimney soot and scorched earth – frail but enticing. The palate is very impressive with abundant brambly dark-berry fruit, blueberry, sous-bois, tobacco and a touch of game. Perhaps it might lack just a touch of tension, but it is well-focused and feels long in the mouth. This is very fine, very upstanding. Drink now. Tasted November 2013. Feb 2014, www.robertparker.com
