The 2021 Clauzet has a slightly toasty bouquet, maybe just a bit bretty. The palate is very smooth, with plush sweet black fruit, but missing some grip on the short finish.
Neal Martin, Vinous (May 2022) Score: 85-87/100 Drink 2027-2035
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2021 Clauzet gives up warm black and red currants, black raspberries, bay leaves and graphite notes with a hint of tobacco. Light to medium-bodied, the palate is soft and uncomplicated with a clipped finish.
Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, The Wine Independent (May 2022) Score: 82-84/100 Drink 2024-2031
A little fresh and laking in concentration through the mid palate means it loses some St Estephe typicity, but it is an enjoyable unfussy wine. Lloyd Lippens owner, with parts of the vineyard bought by Jacky Lorenzetti for Ch Lilian Ladouys. Eric Boissenot consultant.
Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux (April 2022) Score: 85/100 Drink 2024-2035
