A wine with medium-to-full body and a lovely core of fruit with silky tannins. Very subtle verging on lean, but I like the austerity. Try in 2015. James Suckling,
Sweet tobacco, with berry and spices on the nose. Medium-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a medium finish. Pretty Citran. Don't think it's the 2000, but very good
Looks quite developed at the rim. Sweet and simple on the nose – unusually so for this vintage. Easy and round. Fairly light but not really trying desperately hard. Tough tannins. Unusual, as I say!
Tasted at Vintex. The Citran ’09 has a lifted blackberry and raspberry fruit on the nose with touches of cedar and pine. The palate is full-bodied with dense but supple tannins, showing decent balance with layers of chewy black fruit, leading to a sinewy blackberry and plum finish. Good length. This will be very fine if it can mellow and coalesce by bottling. Tasted March 2010.
