From a vintage where they didn't finish the harvest until early in October, the 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape (80% Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, 7% Syrah and the balance Cinsault) is an elegant, fine, seamless and medium-bodied effort that has classic, mature notes of sweet red fruits, cedary spice and garrigue. It's one of those wines where the bottle will be empty before you know it. Oct 2016, www.robertparker.com
