The 2012 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru seems a little unruly on the nose with just a touch of heat showing in my sample. The palate is candied and ripe on the entry with sappy ripe red berry fruit, developing in the mouth into quite a sinewy Charmes-Chambertin with firm structure on the finish. I am sure this will sort itself out by the time of bottling but it seems to be misbehaving at the moment. Dec 2013, www.robertparker.com
