Les Amoureuses is a significant step up in quality … offering more depth, length and concentration – and a intense minerality to match. The nose is bursting with fruit and minerality – lovely red and dark forest berries … hints of pomegranate interlinked with the energetic limestone mineraliy. On the palate very long and intense with a tremendous energy from this magnificent terroir. The rich and velvet 2015 fruit is a perfect match for the intense and vibrant terroir .. impressive. (from a small parcel measuring .16 ha). A deft application of wood sets off spice and floral-infused aromas of ultra-pure red berries along with Asian-style tea nuances. The classy and gorgeously intense flavors possess notably fine detail as well as a driving minerality while being supported by dense but fine-grained tannins on the gorgeously complex finale. This is a most impressive effort with superb underlying material. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com

Understanding Rioja - F+R takes a trip to the Ebro Valley
Rioja is a wine I love, so I was delighted when the team and I had the opportunity to visit the heart of Spain’s most well-known wine region. And reflecting after a few days spent exploring the towns of Haro and Logrono, the wineries of CVNE, Vina Real and Contino and their myriad of mid-harvest vineyards, I grew to learn ...
