The 2010 Chambertin is once again sensual and totally inviting. Layers of sweet perfumed fruit caress the palate in this effortless, gracious wine. Sweet red cherries, mint and licorice are some of the many notes that wrap around the intimate, textured finish. This is a decidedly subtle, understated Chambertin. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2030. ||I was thrilled with the wines I tasted with David Duband. The 2010s are fabulous. They show the weight, energy and transparency of the vintage. Of the 2010s, only the Morey St. Denis Clos Sorbe was too reduced to read. I also tasted a number of the 2009 grand crus, all of which have captured the potential I sensed when I tasted them from barrel. I will report on those wines in the April issue. As a reminder, many of Duband's vineyards are farmed in metayage with Francois Feuillet. Readers may find those wines under either the Domaine David Duband or Domaine Francois Feuillet labels.||Various American importers, including: Skurnik Wines, Syosset, NY; tel.
