Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Brouilland. The 2013 Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre has a fragrant bouquet with citrus lemon, yellow flowers and orange blossom scents, a fine threat of mineralite underneath. The palate is well balanced with a rounded, peachy entry. There seems to be a bit if new oak here but it is nicely integrated and imparts attractive praline notes towards the finish. This simply needs more time. Tasted May 2016. Nov 2016, www.robertparker.com
