Critic Notes

Dauvissat has fashioned a superb 1997 Chablis Les Clos. Its cold, brooding, tight, and mineral-scented nose gives way to a hugely expansive and muscular character. Pears, apples, gooseberries, earth, and minerals are found in this broad-shouldered, medium-to-full-bodied, and thick wine. It is masculine, concentrated, dense, and possesses admirable length. Drink it between 2001 and 2008. Jun 1999, www.robertparker.com

A visit from Domaines Barons de Rothschild
This week we were honoured to host our long standing partner Domaines Barons de Rothschild's commercial director Jean-Sebastien Philippe for a very special tasting.... It is not every day that one has the opportunity to taste a line up of wines from all of DBR's Bordeaux properties; in fact even individual tastings rarely take place outside of Bordeaux, so we ...
