The 2021 Carbonnieux Blanc has a relatively spicy bouquet, very slight touches of muscat filtering through the citric fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a spicy entry and good weight. Persistent in the mouth, leaving behind a long, saline aftertaste. This is another excellent dry white Bordeaux.
Neal Martin, Vinous (May 2022) Score: 92-94/100 Drink 2026-2042
The 2021 Carbonnieux Blanc is bright and nicely focused, but also lacking both body and overall complexity to be hugely interesting. Drink this crisp dry white over the next few years, maximum.
