Critic Notes
Slightly one-dimensional, but shows some very good fruit character. Dried berry and cherry aromas, with a hint of vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied, with medium, silky tannins and a fruity aftertaste. Best after 2000. – James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1998
Score: 88-/100 Wine Spectator
Although the 1995 reveals a good color, it has been consistently angular, austere, and too tannic. This is a lean, spartan style of claret that is likely to dry out before enough tannin melts away to reach a balance with the wine's fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2010. Feb 1998, www.robertparker.com
Score: 78-/100 Robert Parker

In terms of bragging rights our annual tasting at Margaux is very, very, hard to beat.
