This has good tension for the vintage, with lime pith, verbena and tarragon notes cutting through the core of green apple and white peach flavors. Nicely done. Apr 2017, James Molesworth, www.winespectator.com
A round and round juicy white with sliced cooked apples and pears. Full body. Delicious already. Mar 2017, www.jamessuckling.com
This is always an enjoyable white wine and has been successful in this vintage. It has an impactful nose showing fresh apricot and soft pineapple, with luscious, exotic fruit flesh on the palate. This property was in a good position for white wine in this vintage, situated on sandy clay soils, cool and late-ripening, sloping down to the river. 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Sémillon. They finished picking the Sémillon around 18th September, benefitting from the rain. Apr 2017, www.decanter.com, Drink: 2018-2028
The 2016 Cantelys Blanc is a crisp, refreshing, midweight white to drink now and over the next few years. The blend is 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Sémillon, but the Sauvignon Blanc seems to drive the aromatic and flavor profile. White peach, flowers and mint shape the very pretty, nuanced finish. Apr 2017, www.vinous.com
The Cantelys 2016 Blanc is the usual equal blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc, matured in 50% new oak and 50% one year old. It has a fragrant bouquet of Kaffir lime and grapefruit, later peachy notes developing in the glass. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry with just a hint of sour lemon that lends this Cantelys some bite; there is good depth in the mouth with a pleasing tautness on the finish. Drink over the next five to seven years. Apr 17, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2018-2025 Apr 2017, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2018-2025
