Average Score 87.64

Tasted three times with consistent notes, the de Camensac 2010 has a taut, linear, graphite-dominated nose with good definition. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins, a lot of extract here and needing more fruit to balance those tannins on the finish. But still, this is fresh and vibrant and hopefully it will put on some flesh during its elevage. Tasted April 2011. Neal Martin erobertparker.com
Finely expressed Cabernet fruit, good clarity and depth, quite tight now but will expand to fill its Cru Classé potential, a confirmation of the very recent improvement. Drink 2016-26. Steven Spurrier, decanter.com
This has a perfumy edge, with warm cherry sauce and black currant fruit laced with tobacco and a light roasted herb note. James Molseworth, winespectator.com
Slightly sweet tea-leaf aromas. A bit jagged and unintegrated with some pretty rustic tannins. Good enough but it doesn’t go the extra mile. jancisrobinson.com
A strong effort from this large estate, Camensac’s 2010 offers up classic Bordeaux notes of tobacco leaf, licorice, red and black currants, and some spicy oak. It has light to medium tannin, medium body, and good purity and cleanliness. Anticipated maturity: now-2025. Wine Advocate.February, 2013
A little chewy now, with good fruit, but slightly hollow center palate. jamessuckling.com
This is straight-forward Haut Medoc with no pretensions. It is a fairly simple medium weight red that is made for early drinking. It is a friendly approachable wine even in its youth with good balance and modest length. asianpalate.com
