Critic Notes

The softer, lighter 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill reveals no hint of herbaceousness. It offers lots of red and black currants intertwined with hints of blueberry liquor, fewer floral notes, and attractive, medium-bodied, juicy fruit that provides allure as well as opulence. Enjoy it over the next 10-12 years. Oct 2013, www.robertparker.com

Stonestreet Estate - The High Elevation micro-terroirs of Jackson Family Wines
Earlier this month F+R were fortunate enough to be invited to a very special lunch with Christopher Jackson, the son of the late Jess Jackson, who heads up and manages their home estate of Stonestreet Vineyards in Sonoma County. Tuscany Wine Journal, Day Five: Redigaffi
In the last installment of her Tuscan journal, FINE+RARE buyer Jessica Bryans visits Tua Rita, the vineyard behind the phenomenal Redigaffi, and Fonterutoli. Day One · Day Two · Day Three · Day Four My fifth and final day in Italy dawned bright and extremely early. I felt surprisingly fresh after a late dinner the previous evening with the wonderful Giovanni Mazzei of Fonterutoli at his ...

FINE+RARE at Quintarelli
There is distinct anticipation in the air as the car slips quietly past the colourful patchwork of houses in the village of Negrar. It is 30 degrees outside and still there are goosebumps on my arm as we pull into a long gravel driveway at the top of the hill. Visions of Amarone dance through my head as my final ...
