The 1997 Brunello di Montalcino Vigna La Casa is a full and generous interpretation of the vintage with an inky dark appearance and articulate aromas of spice, leather, Graham cracker and dried fruit. There’s also a good amount of menthol or dried rosemary sprig. This wine offers its best assets upfront and leaves less to chew on at the backend. Drink: 2014-2020. Feb 2014, www.robertparker.com
