2004 Brunello di Montalcino

flagCentral Italy / Italy

The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino reveals dark red fruit, flowers, licorice and oak in a medium to full-bodied style. The tannins are nicely balanced and the wine offers plenty of richness to match. Stylistically the wine is fresher and more vibrant than the La Casa, with a flavor profile that tends towards red rather than black fruit. It is a lovely effort from Caparzo. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022. Jun 2009, www.robertparker.com
