Fine cassis nose, lovely texture and silky yet firm with a polished long finish. Drink 2014-2022.
52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Pure cedary cassis. Pretty light on the palate though in an elegant rather than a thin mode. Subtle or lightweight, take your pick. Jancis Robinson,
A wine that shows attractive currant and chocolate character. Medium body, with soft tannins and a delicious finish. James Suckling,
Has a brisk edge, with spice-tinged damson plum and crushed raspberry fruit that moves quickly through a slightly extracted finish. James Molesworth,
From the owners of Pichon-Lalande, this 2011 Haut-Medoc exhibits an attractive dark ruby/plum color as well as black currant, tobacco leaf and earthy notes, medium body, and 5-7 years of drinkability. Wine Advocate.April, 2014
The Bernadotte 2011 is a blend of 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Merlot aged in one-third new oak. It has a straightforward, crisp raspberry and briary bouquet with a touch of decayed rose petal. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins on the entry, although it is missing a little depth and weight in the middle and it finishes conservatively. Tasted April 2012. Neal Martin,
