Wonderful aromas of blueberries, blackberries and dark chocolate, follow through to a full body, with super well-integrated tannins and bright gorgeous dark fruits. Wonderful length too. One of the best wines from here in a number of years. Best in 2016. James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

Ripe and well structured. Plenty of length and freshness. Attractive fruit. Not a blockbuster but really harmonious. Drink 2015-2030
Glossy and dark. Powerful dark chocolate notes. Easy and rather too casual on the palate with quite marked acid on the end. Nothing to object to but nothing to get seriously excited about.

An elegant, mid-weight Pomerol with sweet licorice, plum, mocha and raspberry fruit, this wine is generously endowed, with lots of silky glycerin coating the palate. I’m sure the alcohol hits 14% plus. This is more finessed than powerful Pomerol, so drink it over the next 10-15 years. Dec 2011, www.robertparker.com

Tasted at Chateau Clinet. This has a comparatively simple nose that is lacking some fruit intensity compared to other Pomerols. It does fill out with a little aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with chocolate-tinged black fruit, quite toasty, yet the finish if very linear and missing some depth. This is a perplexing showing…I was expecting more. Tasted April 2010.
