Critic Notes
The dark ruby-colored, internationally styled 1997 Barolo Vigna Cannubi shows plenty of new oak, but it does not overwhelm the wine's rich black raspberry, currant, and cherry fruit. Sweet, dense, and full-bodied, with low acidity and firm tannin, this pure, clean Barolo will drink well young, yet age for 15-20 years. Jun 2001, www.robertparker.com

2011 Barolo: "Intrigante"
Barolo Vineyard Following a vintage like 2010 is not easy. 2010 Barolos are not only of great quality, they were released to a market primed to buy something new, a market disillusioned with Bordeaux, a market looking for quality, value and character. What the wines of Piedmont offered, and continue to offer is simple: the opportunity to buy, own ...

The FINE+RARE 'Four Decades of Barolo' Dinner
Last week fourteen of FINE+RARE’s customers joined us for a very special dinner at Alyn Williams. The theme: Four Decades of Barolo. We thought we’d open a few bottles with some ...

Many consumers are unaware of the different profiles and can be quite surprised by the Barolo in their glass tasting very different to the one they ...

Brezza Tasting: Barolo Sarmassa Vertical 2003-2010
We have seen a surge of interest in Barolo over the past year and it is one of the markets that we are focussing on. In terms of quality and value for money, Barolo remains one of the few regions that is 'undiscovered': one can find exceptional quality in the region and we believe that now is the time to ...
