I tasted four separate Barolos, including three single vineyard wines. The 1990 Barolo regular cuvee exhibits an attractive, open-knit, ripe, smoky, dusty, herb, and black-cherry-scented nose, ripe, supple, chewy, medium to full-bodied flavors, a soft texture, and a smooth finish. It is meant to be drunk in its first 7-8 years of life. This is an impressive performance from Batasiolo. Apr 1994, www.robertparker.com
