Critic Notes

The 2013 Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Clos de Chapitre, which had finished its malolactic fermentation at the beginning of September and sees 25% new oak, has a tightly-wound bouquet with strawberry jam and raspberry notes: conservative, but nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit, moderate acidity and quite a grippy finish that suggests it will need a couple of years in bottle to soften. This is a good solid, no-frills Aloxe-Corton. Dec 2014, www.robertparker.com

We are rather proud of our Clos Vougeot tasting at FINE+RARE. While blind tastings are hardly uncommon, the chance to ...
