Il Maronetto – Rosso di Montalcino “Ignaccio” 2016

“This is a wine that belies its "Rosso" classification. It is seriously impressive even if it was classified a Brunello - with beautifully ripe fruit, a lovely smoky edge and sweet spice and a gorgeous seductive texture that is long on the palate and multilayered. So juicy and so clean this is outstanding”. (F+R)

Poggio di Sotto – Rosso di Montalcino 2016

“Unlikely to find a more beguilling and elegant Rosso di Montalcino on the market. This wine has a quiet intensity with floral notes, dried spice and a beautifully elegant tannin structure. It is both broad, long and very elegant with a high level of fruit purity of black cherry, blueberry and even a touch of sweet caramel and a hint of oriental spice”. (F+R)

Biondi Santi – Rosso di Montalcino 2016

“Biondi Santi experienced the 2016 as a vintage of great elegance and finesse, and the 2016 Rosso displays this in pure, bright ruby, with a perfumed floral nose of violets and sweet jasmine. Red cherries mingle with pink pepper, cloves and sweet cinnamon, with a fresh orange peel mist rising from the glass. A satiny texture surrounds the concentrated fruit core, and the wine is impeccably structure and balanced, with a long, fresh and savoury finish.” (F+R)
