THÉVENET’S DOMAINE DE LA BONGRAN

In the Wine Advocate's recent Mâconnais Report, we were delighted that Gautier Thévenet was awarded "wine of the vintage" for his 2013 Domaine de la Bongran Viré-Clessé.

Creating some of the richest, fullest and most complex wines in Burgundy, Thévenet has nevertheless remained relatively under-the-radar... until recently, when the domaine has been showered with praise and critical acclaim:

"These are the wines of a genius." - Robert Parker

“The Thevenet family's Domaine de la Bongran is one of my favorite wineries in the world.” - William Kelley

“Prices remain a fraction of what you would have to pay for a top Cote de Beaune… I cannot recommend these highly enough.” - Neal Martin

“The quality of what is produced here is mind-boggling.” - Allen Meadows

Those amongst us who have been lucky enough to try Thévenet’s wines will no doubt leap at the opportunity to secure the award-winning 2013 Domaine de la Bongran Viré-Clessé or the 97 point 2006 Domaine de la Bongran Mâcon Village Cuvée Botrytis, described by William Kelley as "one of the great dessert wines of France".
