Chateau Belle Brise of Pomerol is the true insider’s Bordeaux. Made in absolutely tiny quantities, it is one of the rarest wines on the market and almost impossible to source, making it arguably more exclusive than either Petrus or Le Pin.
The 2015 is a master stroke: deep, rich, exotic and beautifully put together, it blew our buyers away when they sampled it at the property earlier this year. Belle Brise is absolutely one of the stars of this year’s vintage and a real coup for the cellar. We were extremely keen to get our hands on an allocation for our clients, however with a total distribution of just a couple of hundred cases, the majority of which goes exclusively to Michelin-Starred restaurants and a few lucky long-standing private clients, we weren’t hopeful.
We were delighted therefore that after many weeks of negotiations, we were awarded this parcel – the only merchant worldwide to be allocated some. This is a gorgeous Pomerol, utterly delicious and with that added cachet that almost no one else will own a bottle, let alone a case. The only opportunity to own this in 2015 is via FINE+RARE wines, and once it's gone, it's gone.
