1900 Grande Champagne Cognac

Distilled an incredible 118 years ago, FINE+RARE is delighted to present this unique 1900 Grande Champagne Cognac.

Cognacs of this age and quality are an extraordinarily rare find. We enlisted the expertise of David Baker, an expert in sourcing highly individual, single-estate producers of exceptional cognacs to unearth this hidden gem. He discovered it in a cellar near Saint-Preuil in Grande Champagne - the finest cru of the Cognac region - from where it will be hand-bottled to order.

Distilled on a wood-fired, six hectolitre Charentais pot still then transferred to 270 litre old oak casks, this exquisite cognac has spent more than 70 years in wood before being decanted into glass bonbonnes to preserve its fantastic flavour.

As leading Cognac Expert & Author, Nick Faith, notes of this 1900 single-vintage Cognac: "The extra age has provided this astonishing cognac with additional warmth and depth, very nutty but balanced by a complex blend of candied fruits."

A masterpiece of a bygone era, the equivalent of a mere 85 bottles of this precious nectar will be available. Following a tasting at F+R HQ this week, we can attest to its exceptional length, complexity and elegance - an incredible find and a centrepiece of even the most complete collection.
