An ambitious wine from the plateau, which combines toasty oak, compact tannins, ripe, plum and black cherry fruit, some aromatic liquorice spice and a refreshing, chalky undertone. Apr 2016, www.timatkin.com, Drink: 2020-2028
Score: 91-/100 Tim Atkin Drinking Window: 2020-2028
Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Cap de Mourlin opens with bright, vibrant red fruits with blackberry accents and earthy undertones. Medium to full-bodied with soft, supple, approachable tannins and plenty of freshness, it finishes on an earthy note. Drinking well now, it should easily cellar for 10-12 years. Feb 2018, www.robertparker.com
Score: 90-/100 Lisa Perrotti-Brown
The 2015 Château Cap de Moulin had a very high-toned, slightly volatile nose that is rather off-putting at this early stage. The palate is sweet and assertive on the entry, a lot of extraction here, but it renders the finish rather predictable and monotone. Hopefully it will improve in bottle. Apr 2016, www.eRobertParker.com, Drink: 2019-2030
Score: 87-89/100 Neal Martin Drinking Window: 2019-2030

2014 Bordeaux: 27th May
It has been a quiet week in Bordeaux though with the releases of Fonbel and Moulin St Georges we expect Ausone to be released shortly.
