Nose very similar to an Argentine torrontes, tulip like. The palate is surprisingly subtle with good weight, still floral notes but these are not overpowering and the spice on the palate adds complexity. There is good weight, very fresh acidity and overall this was a very pleasant end to the tasting.
Score: 17-/20 FINE+RARE
Golden colour, rich, creamy, lots of sugar (not in the normal style of the property). The alcohol level is perhaps just under the level necessary for the best balance for long ageing. Drink 2015-2030. (16 points) Michel Bettane, decanter.com

Tasted blind 4 Apr: Simple pale gold. Fresh nose with a green vegetative thread. Then sweetness and something a little simple and barley-sugar-like. No great concentration. Very marked acidity. RS 108 g/l, TA 3.9 g/l. Tasted 3 Apr: Rich and burnt. A little simple and muted. Bit dull.(Score: 15 14-20) 13.8% jancisrobinson.com

This Sauternes is a medium weight sweet wine with simple sweetness. There are attractive dried mango and marmalade flavours but the concentration is modest and the length on this wine is only moderate. Jeannie Cho Lee MW asianpalate.com

The Bastor-Lamontagne 2010 has a flat bouquet that lacks energy and botrytized character. The palate is very flat in the mouth, a distinct lack of acidity and thin and lifeless finish. I was expecting much more than this. Drink now. Apr 2014, www.robertparker.com
