The 2015 Im Sonnenschein Weisser Burgunder GG offers a very clear, intense and ripe-fruit aroma of stewed apples and stomped potatoes with butter. Round, intense and smooth on the palate, this is a full-bodied, complex and very elegant Pinot Blanc. It is piquant and fruit-intense with a long and grippy finish. Ripe stone fruit flavors in the aftertaste. Bottled in May 2016.

After 2014, Hansjörg Rebholz has again bottled a great vintage. His 2015 series is outstanding and a benchmark collection. His selective harvesting has come close to perfection over the years, and even more so because it wasn't easy in 2014 nor in 2015, when the ripening of the grapes was so quick that many wines in the Pfalz lost precision and balance.

Rebholz's 2015s are below 13% alcohol and most of them are between 12-12.5% alcohol. The acidity is vital and very precise, and the wines reveal a persistent mineral structure intertwined with ripe and concentrated fruit. Sometimes you have the impression of drinking a Mosel wine with the origin of Pfalz. The outstanding wines in 2015 are the Riesling grand crus Kastanienbusch GG, Ganz Horn GG and Im Sonnenschein GG. There is just one wine even more impressive: the 2015 Gewürztraminer Auslese Albersweiler Latt. This is one of the greatest Gewürztraminers beyond Alsace.
